wd~50

A tasting menu was available but the a la carte menu had the interesting eggs benedict concoction. Wagyu skirt steak, long bean, tamarind, peanut butter 'pasta'. Iberico pork neck, endive, buckwheat, clove.Cheesecake, pineapple, raisin, saffron, lime. Soft chocolate, peppermint ice cream, black cardamom, toffee.
A feast for the eyes, but short of mouth-wateringly good.
Michelin 1-star.

Corton NYC

Is Corton of the best restaurants in NYC? Probably.
The food did not disappoint. It was, after all, awarded Michelin 2-stars.
There was a strict no photographing the food policy. Boooo.
The presentation of the food was out of this world amazing.

Where to begin...

An obsession with cupcakes can only be cured by eating more cupcakes. But the choices for cupcakes in Hong Kong are minimal, which means the search is on for cupcakes overseas. It seems fitting that the first post here be about a cupcake shop called Sift. One should always abide by these Cupcake Commandments:
1. Must be covered in buttercream or icing.
2. Do not refrigerate.
3. Calorie and fat overload, ignore.
4. Find every reason to buy in half a dozen.
5. Eat in pairs.
